Cotteswold Dairy History

Early Dairy Scene1938: Company founded by Harry Workman after he buys a milk round from his brother-in-law. It starts life as the Spa Farm Dairy.

1943: Firm moves to premises in Cotteswold Road, Tewkesbury, and changes its name to Cotteswold Dairy

1961: Supply begins in Cheltenham for the first time

1965: Harry is joined at the business by his son Roger, who is the current chairman and managing director.

1965: Company moves to Northway Lane, Tewkesbury.

1991: Harry's grandson George, the present production director, joins the company.

1999: Cotteswold becomes the first dairy in the country to supply organic milk in the returnable glass bottle.
