Our traditional, conventional milk comes from local farms close to our processing site in Tewkesbury from independent family-run farms that practice traditional farming methods. On these farms, most of the cows have the freedom to graze and enjoy the lush green pasture during the warmer months of the year, which is typically between the months of April to October. In the colder months, when there are little nutrients in the grass, the cows are housed. Our producers have invested a significant amount of resources to ensure appropriate accommodation for the cows. This ensures that the cows are comfortable and have the freedom to express natural behaviours, which is an important factor of dairy farming. All our traditional/ conventional farmers are Red Tractor assured and comply with industry standards for animal health and welfare.
